Friday is a dog who lives in Portland, Maine. He loves to explore the town and enjoys being greeted by everyone he sees. Come along on his walk through town and see the many sights of Portland.

About "It's Friday"

Several years ago, my husband Mike and I visited Portland, staying with my sister-in-law and brother-in-law in their ‘house on the hill.’ We enjoyed walking through town, visiting many of the places that Friday explores.

At some point during our walks around town, the idea of a story about Friday took root (in part because we were introduced to a real dog named Friday). The idea lay dormant for many years and finally surfaced as the book you now hold.

Our grand-dog Waldo became the ‘model’ for Friday. We miss him and hope the book is a small tribute to his gentle personality.
